The Original green waffle(pandan waffle)
The famous and most popular offering. The Lam family created the recipe in the early 2000s. The son, Kevin Lam, who was only a child then, was very skeptical about the success of the green waffle. He would observe his parents making it all day and night to keep up with the demand. In fact his mom and dad would be at the bakery until 2am making batches of green waffles.
The waffle acquires its famous green color from pandan, a tropical plant that is widely used in South Asian and Southeast Asian cooking
These tarts are famous in Portugal and are known for its crisp, flaky crust holding a creamy custard center. You can find them all over Hong Kong. Kevin Quach, cousin of Kevin Lam, has a strong addiction for these tarts and wanted to recreate these tarts to share at the store.
Our tarts at the store are hybrids between Chinese Egg Tarts and Portuguese Tarts. We wanted the crispy buttery and flakiness of a Portuguese Tarts while keeping a traditional light egg custard in the middle from a Chinese Egg Tart. Our tarts are baked fresh hourly. We also offer Kaya egg tarts, which is an egg tart topped with Kaya(Pandan Custard). Call ahead if you are planning to order in bulk!
